Saved By Nature is a San Francisco Bay Area based environmental 501c(3) founded in 2018 by environmentalist, Richard Tejeda. Inspired to take action by the lack of representation of people of color in the outdoors.

Saved By Nature was created with the vision of one day hosting hikes with hundreds of people from all ethnicities and ages out celebrating the beauty of each others culture while healing spiritually, physically, and mentally together in nature.

We're working with community-based partners to inspire change, directly with underserved groups, and hiring environmental interns of color to increase diversity in our parks, preserves and outdoor spaces.
