About the Event
Spring is coming and wildflowers are waking up. Come learn how to lead a guided walk for our community.
Bring water to drink, snacks or a light lunch to eat, wear layers of clothes in case the weather is cool, and make sure you wear shoes that have closed toes (no sandals or flip flops please). I like to wear a hat and bring sunscreen just in case. Sometimes Coyote Valley can fill up the parking lot, so please come a little early in case you need to wait for a spot. Bring your mask and meet us at the picnic tables by the restroom. This hike will be about 2 miles long. Sorry, no pets allowed at this preserve.
The purpose of this training is to introduce you to basic principles of interpretation and to coach you in the application of those principles. By the end of the training, you should have a good understanding of what makes interpretation different from delivering a memorized speech and why an interpretive approach may be more effective for communicating with your audience.
