Bat Fest

It's our biggest and most exciting event of the year - Bat Fest! Join Saved By Nature for an evening festival celebrating local animals of the night, with live bats, owls, and other creatures. It's a fun time under the stars! With a special guest speaker, food trucks, live music, festival games, arts and crafts, mini-pumpkin patch, and community partner organization booths. Be sure to bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy popcorn, cotton candy and your favorite drink while watching Addams Family 1991movie under the night sky.

Enter the silent auction for a guided fly fishing trip, an inclusive 2-night stay, and artwork by local artists. Purchase raffle tickets for camping gear, tickets to the Oakland Zoo, Santa Cruz Museum, Elkhorn Slough Safari, Los Gatos Bird Watchers, Bill's Trading Post and more!!

General Admission: 

Tickets for ages 16+ are $25 each.

Tickets for children aged 6 to 15 are $10, children 4 and under are free.

Parking is free.

4:30pm-5:30pm Live Animal Presentation (Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation Center)

5:30pm-6:30pm Take a Bat Walk with Bat Conservation International Ambassadors

6:15pm-7:15pm Live Bat Presentation (NorCal Bats)

7:15pm-7:20pm Announce Raffle & Auction Winners

7:20pm-9:00pm Movie Begins (Movie TBD)

9:00pm Event Ends

Food: 3 Hermanos Mexican Grill

Snacks: Saved By Nature Snack Shack chips, variety of cookies, assorted candy with a new addition of candy apples, cotton candy and popcorn from San Jose Candy Kitchen. Drinks: Aguas Fresca, Soda, Naked, Water.

 

Founded in 2018 in San José, California, by environmentalist Richard Tejeda, Saved By Nature is an environmental and social justice 501(c)(3) nonprofit nonprofit organization. Our mission is to expose and connect people of all backgrounds, ethnicities, and abilities to the natural wonders & recreational opportunities of the outdoors. We collaborate with partners to ensure mental, physical, and spiritual healing in nature.
