Join Our Volunteer Community

What Does Volunteer Enrollment Mean?

When you enroll as a Saved By Nature volunteer, you're joining a community of passionate individuals committed to environmental justice and transforming lives through nature-based programming throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. ✌️Flexible Opportunities: Enrollment gives you access to diverse volunteer roles including hike leadership, youth mentorship, community outreach, event support, and professional skills contribution. We match your interests, skills, and availability with opportunities that align with your goals. 🤔How It Works: Complete the enrollment form below to share your background, interests, and availability. Our volunteer coordinator will review your application within 5-7 business days and contact you to schedule orientation. All volunteers attend comprehensive orientation before beginning service, and you'll receive position-specific training including certifications like Wilderness First Aid/CPR for outdoor roles. 💁‍♂️What You'll Receive: As an enrolled volunteer, you'll receive training in environmental interpretation, cultural competency, and program-specific skills. You'll gain valuable experience, build community connections, and make measurable impact on underserved Bay Area communities while developing leadership skills and professional certifications. 👨🏻‍🏫Commitment & Flexibility: Time commitments range from 3-15 hours per month depending on your role. We offer weekend, weekday, and evening opportunities to accommodate diverse schedules—from high school students earning community service hours to working professionals contributing specialized skills to retirees seeking meaningful community engagement. 🎉Completely Free: All training, certifications, equipment, and program materials are provided at no cost. Your investment is your time, passion, and commitment to environmental justice.
