What Does Enrollment Mean?
When you enroll in our Bay Area Coastal Adventures program, you're joining a community of Bay Area residents who receive monthly invitations to diverse coastal experiences including fishing, kayaking, camping, crabbing, boat tours, and coastal exploration designed for multigenerational families throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. ✌️Two Enrollment Pathways: Enrollment gives you access to our monthly coastal adventures that combine hands-on marine activities with environmental education. We offer two types of enrollment—Priority Registration for qualifying low-income participants of all ages, and General Registration for all other community members. Both enrollment types provide the same exceptional outdoor experiences; the difference is simply when you receive your invitation to register. 🤷♂️How Registration Works: We maintain intimate group sizes (30-40 participants) to ensure quality educational programming, safety protocols, and meaningful community connections, so spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis when registration opens. Priority Registration participants receive invitations two weeks before each adventure, while General Registration participants receive invitations one week before each adventure. 💁♂️What You'll Receive: As an enrolled participant, you'll receive advance email notifications about upcoming coastal adventures including specific activity details, meeting locations, what to bring, and weather/tide updates. We encourage multigenerational families to attend multiple adventures throughout the year to fully experience the Bay Area's diverse marine environments—from pier fishing to kayaking expeditions to coastal camping under the stars. ☀️Diverse Seasonal Activities: Our coastal adventures rotate seasonally to follow optimal conditions: 🎣Fishing during peak tide cycles. 🚣♂️Kayaking through protected sloughs. ⛺Camping at premier coastal locations. 🦀Crabbing during winter months. ⛴️Charter boat tours through wildlife-rich estuaries. This variety allows your family to develop comprehensive coastal skills while forming deep connections to California's marine treasures. 🎉Completely Free: All experiences remain completely free. Enrollment, participation, professional naturalist guides, specialized fishing and camping equipment, charter boat services, meals, and park entrance fees are provided at no cost to ensure financial barriers never prevent your family from accessing these transformative coastal opportunities.
