Seniors Hike for Health
Naturalist led hikes designed for seniors age 55 and up to encourage healthy living, fun and friendship in the outdoors.
The Seniors Hike for Health program is free and held on every 3rd Tuesday of each month from 10AM-1PM. Hikes are 2-3 miles long and range from easy to moderate. We provide a free sandwich, chips and water to all participants.
Adventures include visits to open space preserves, city parks, county parks as well as California State Parks and beaches from San Francisco to Monterey Bay. We learn about their different habitats, beautiful plants and animals and fascinating natural and cultural history.
Mental and physical benefits include:
-
Improved cardiovascular health and circulation

Reduced arthritis, joint and knee pain
